If you’re trying to round corners, Figma offers flexibility by including tools for it. In this guide, we will help you with rounding corners through two approaches, with a demonstration for each to get you all covered.
Note: It’s not possible to apply corner radius to lines, arrows, or vector networks with only a single stroke.
What we cover
Round Corners in Figma through Properties Panel
- Start by adding an element to work with, and for demonstration, we have selected an image.
- With the image added, click on it to select it and load the Design tab. Now, adjust the corner radius by providing a value in the input box associated with the Corner radius.

- If you want to adjust the corner radius of a particular corner, click on the Independent corners option and change values in the respective input box.

Round Corners in Figma from Canvas
As we have demonstrated with an image in the above approach, let’s work with a Frame. Here are steps to round corners in Figma from Canvas:
- Start by adding a layer and hover the mouse over it to find the radius handle at each corner.

- Now, click on any radius handle and drag it to change the corner radius of the layer.

- By doing so, change the radius of all corners, and if you want to change the radius of a particular corner, hold Alt (Windows) or Option (macOS) and drag the radius handle to notice the corner radius of the selected corner is being changed.

Wrapping Up
Congratulations on learning how to round corners in Figma!
While we have provided two approaches to round corners in Figma, you can also change the radius through the Vector edit mode. However, we don’t suggest using it as it is specific for shapes, and corner smoothing isn’t available. Also, the approaches offered address modifying the corner radius of arguably all layers.
