Create An Account On Character.AI

While you can use Character.AI without an account, it’s recommended to create one to avoid losing your conversations, custom characters, and voice packs. Follow these steps to set up your account.

1. Open Character.AI on your browser and click on the Sign up button in the top left corner next to the logo.

2. You can create an account using Google or Apple account. If you’re creating an account using an email account, you might have to fill in a few details manually.

3. To use Character.AI, you need to be at least 13 years old. It is unsure if Charater.ai checks your details during verification, so it is ideal to enter the right birthday date.

4. This step successfully creates your account, and you’re provided with a random user name.

5. If you aren’t happy with the user name, click on your profile displayed on the home page. Next, click on Settings to find the Public profile tab loaded by default.

6. Now, update the username, display name, bio, and profile picture to your liking.

Find Characters and Start Conversation

Character.AI has a massive collection of characters that are developed by the team and individuals. The steps below will help you find characters, access them, and start a conversation.

1. On the home page, you can find sections – For you, Try these, and Featured. Below each, you can find characters that are public and ready to access.

2. To ease the character-finding process, you can also check the categories and pick any character of your choice.

3. If you have a specific character in mind, use the search bars provided and find the character you want to start a conversation with.

Important Tip: If you’re not satisfied with the available characters or have specific needs, you can create custom characters in Character.AI to meet your preferences.

4. Once you find the character, click on it to access it. You can now start exchanging messages by typing in the input field.
