Unfortunately, Character.AI no longer offers the option to save chats. Instead, it employs the History feature to save all your chats. The downside with this is it saves all chats, and there isn’t any direct option to delete them all at once.
In this guide, we will demonstrate how to delete saved chats (history) on Character.AI using simple steps to get you covered.
Delete Saved Chats on Character.AI
- Open Character.AI and log in with your credentials. Once signed in, select the recent/custom character from the left-hand panel to open it.
- After the character is loaded, click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner to see more options. Next, click on History to find all the saved chats.
- Doing so, you will find all the saved chats. Character.AI saves the chat as history.
- Click on the saved chat you want to delete. Once it is loaded, navigate to the first message, click on three horizontal dots, and then Rewind to here.
- Now, you’re left with the first message. To delete the entire chat, delete the first message left out.
- Repeat the above steps for all saved history, and soon, you’ll have an empty history, meaning all the saved chats have been deleted.
