If you’re in an active conversation with a character bot and have sent a wrong message, Character.AI lets you edit it before proceeding to the next one. In this guide, we will help you edit messages through a simple demonstration to get you covered.

Edit Messages on Character.AI

  1. Navigate to Character.AI on your browser and sign in with your credentials. Next, start a conversation by clicking on the character from the homepage or searching for it.

  1. If you want to talk with recent characters, access the left quick menu by clicking on it.

  1. After the character is loaded, start conversing with the character. For the message you want to edit, click on the three horizontal dots next to it, and then from the available options, choose Edit message.

Note: You cannot edit previous messages or continue with the next message while editing the last one in Character.AI. You are limited to editing only the current message.

  1. Doing so allows you to edit the message. Once you’ve done so, click on the Save button to edit the message successfully.
