Cross Out Text in Character.AI
- Head over to the Character.AI website and log into your account. After signing in, navigate to the left panel and click on the character you last interacted with to continue your conversation.
- You can also pick a character from the home screen, browse through categories, or use the search function to find one you’re interested in.
- In the message box, place a single tilde on either side of the text you want to cross out without any spaces between the text and the tilde – [~message~].
- After sending the message, you’ll see that the text is successfully crossed out.
Crossing Out Text for Custom Characters
You can also add crossed-out text to your custom character’s greeting or definition to make interactions more engaging. Here’s how to do that:
- Open your custom character from the left panel on the home screen, click on the three horizontal dots in the top-right corner, and then select Edit.
- Edit the greeting or definition by placing a single tilde on either side of the text you want to cross out – [~text~].
- Once you’re done, click the Save and Chat button at the bottom-right corner to save changes and start the conversation.
- If done correctly, your custom character will now display crossed-out text during conversations!
