If you’re working on a large design and a particular layer specifically, you need to learn how to zoom in. In this guide, we will help you to zoom in and out through different approaches to get you covered.
Zoom in Figma
- Open Figma on your browser and open an existing design from Recents after you sign in. If you don’t have a design to work with, use the Design file to create one.
- After the new/existing design is loaded, let’s try to add it to a text box with a text font size set to the least possible. Also, a restriction is implied where you cannot increase the font size to get a clear look at it.
- In this scenario, it is important to learn how to zoom in. To get started, navigate to the top right corner and click on Zoom/view options.
- By doing so, you will find multiple options, and you can click on Zoom in option to zoom in twice on every click. However, if you have specific zoom requirements, you can use the input box associated to manually zoom in and out by entering values.
- Alternatively, you can zoom in and zoom using the below key combinations:
- Zoom In: Ctrl + + (Windows)
- Zoom In: Cmd + + (macOS)
- Zoom Out: Ctrl + – (Windows)

Pro Tip: You can use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out, and for this to work, navigate to the top left corner and click on the Figma icon. Now, from the options, click on Preferences and then Use scroll wheel zoom.
