Bullet points improve multiple lines of text by clearly organizing and highlighting key information, making it easier to read and understand. In this guide, we will help you add bullet points through a demonstration to get you covered.
Add Bullet Points in Figma
- Log in to Figma and access your design file from the Recently viewed section on the home screen. If you haven’t started, create a new one by clicking the New design file button.

- Once your design is open, select the text box you want to work with. If there’s no text yet, click the T icon on the toolbar and drag it to create a new text box.

- Now add or update the text in the text box, go to the Design tab on the right, locate the Text section, and click on Type Settings (three horizontal dots).

- Doing so opens the Type settings with multiple options, and from which, navigate to List style and click on Bulleted list.

- If you do it right, the text in the text box will be converted to bullet points, as shown below.

Wrapping Up
Congratulations on learning how to add bullet points in Figma!
While the flexibility isn’t as good as a conventional text editor, Figma does a decent job converting text to bullet points. If you aren’t happy, we suggest you try Miriko Santangelo’s Bullets and other plugins.
