  1. Start by navigating to Figma on your browser and sign in with your credentials. Now, open the design file you’re working on from the Recently viewed.

  1. After the design file is loaded, navigate to the Layers panels. For demonstration, we have opened the Figma basics file and expanded all nested layers.

  1. While the nested layers can be closed individually, considering it takes much time, select the parent layer and press Alt + L or Option + L to collapse all layers.

  1. The best part is that this also collapses the children’s layers of the nested parent layers. This shortcut also works with individual parent layers if you want to collapse a specific nested layer.

Pro Tip: While the shortcut is handy, you can also collapse the layers from the menu at once. To do this, click on the Figma icon in the top left corner. From the options displayed, click on Object and then Collapse layers.
