A pie chart is a popular way to visually represent data, showing the proportions of different categories within a whole. Unfortunately, Figma doesn’t offer a tool to create Pie charts. Hence, in this guide, we will teach you how to make a pie chart through a way around to get you covered.
Make a Pie Chart in Figma
- Open Figma on your browser and sign in with your credentials. Next, open the file you’re working on Recently viewed. If you haven’t started yet, click on the New design file to get started.
- After the new or existing design is loaded, draw an ellipse on the canvas by pressing O and dragging the cursor.
Quick Tip: You can also load the Ellipse tool from the toolbar by clicking on its associated option.
- After dragging it past the center, you will find the Sweep option, which allows you to adjust the pie size.
- The other point on the ellipse is Start, which helps rotate the ellipse. Now, develop the pie by adjusting the sweep and start points. First, we will begin with the larger slice, followed by smaller slices, and finish the pie.
- After the first slice is created, duplicate it by copying and pasting it. Now, select the second slice, rotate it using Start, and adjust its size using Sweep.
- Now repeat Step 6 by duplicating the slices and making them new slices until you finish the pie, as shown below.

While this is arguably the easiest way to make a pie chart in Figma, the percentage of the slices can be slightly off. If you want it to be accurate, we suggest you use Excel, save the pie chart to local storage as an image, and import it to Figma.
