It is important to publish components, especially when working with teams, as publishing components creates instances that can be easily accessed from Assets. In this guide, we will teach you how to publish components through a demonstration to get you covered.

Publish Components in Figma

  1. Start by navigating to Figma and sign in with your credentials. Next, open the design file you’re working on from Recently viewed.

  1. After loading the new or existing design, add layers to the canvas and complete your design, making sure you have added all components, variables, and styles.

  1. When you finish your design, go to the Assets panel on the left and click on the Libraries icon.

  1. Doing so opens a Libraries extension where you need to click on the Publish button for the current file.

  1. In the Publish Library box that appears, enter a description and click the Publish button again.
