Wrapping text in a design helps to fit content neatly within a given space, improving readability and layout consistency. In this guide, we will help you wrap text in Figma through a demonstration to get you covered.
Wrap Text in Figma
- Navigate to Figma and sign in with your credentials. Access the design file you’re working on from Recently viewed. If you haven’t started yet, click on the New design file.

- After the new or existing design is loaded, select the text box you want to wrap the text. For demonstration, we added a new text box by pressing T and typing in the text.

- If you notice the Text section of the Design tab, the text box is set to Auto width.

- If you keep adding text, the size of the text box increases, as shown below.

- However, if you set the text box to the Fixed size and type text, the size doesn’t increase. Instead, the text overflows the text box, successfully wrapping the contents within it.

- When you adjust the text box dimensions, the text automatically wraps, giving a clearer view of how it adapts.
