If you’re working with frames, you might encounter the issue of frame names constantly displaying in design mode. This can be distracting while working on the design and can also hinder client presentations.
Unfortunately, there isn’t an option for it on Figma. Through this guide, we will help you hide the frame name using a simple trick to get you covered.
Hide Frame Name in Figma
- Open Figma on your browser and sign in with your credentials. Now, open the design file you’re working on from the Recently viewed.
- After the design file is loaded, select the frame you want to remove. Now, right-click on it to display several options, and from there, click on Group selection.
- By doing so, you can notice that the frame name has been removed. Alternatively, you can do the same by selecting the frame and pressing Command + G (Mac) or Ctrl + G (Windows).
Note: This process involves converting the frame to a group, which means you will lose the ability to apply constraints to its child elements, as groups lack this feature. Hence, ensure you’re grouping the final version of the frame.
