Figma comes with multiple tools for different purposes, and if you’re trying to print, you might be disappointed because it lacks options to set color profiles. To address this, we have created this guide featuring clear steps for printing from Figma through a handy plugin.
Print from Figma
- Start by navigating to Figma on your browser and sign in with your credentials by clicking on Log in button. If you haven’t started yet, begin by clicking on Get Started for free.

- After successfully logging in or signing in with your credentials, you’ll be redirected to the home screen. Next, click on the New Design file to create a design. However, if you have an existing file to work with, open it from the Recently Viewed.

- Once the new or existing design is loaded, navigate to the toolbar and click on Resources. Now, from the available options, click on the Plugins tab. In the search bar associated with it, search for TinyImage Compressor and click on Run.

- With the TinyImage Compressor plugin loaded, select the layer you want to print, navigate to the Export section, and click on + to create export settings for the layer.

- After the export settings are created for the layer, click the Refresh Exportable Layers button within the plugin.

- Doing so, you will notice the layer added to the plugin. Now, click on the Settings icon to access the color profile dropdown.

- From the TinyImage Compressor settings loaded, navigate to PNG Export Settings or PNG Export Settings, depending on the layer you’re working with. Next, select the color profile from the drop-down and close the settings.

- Once you’ve done this, click the Export button, and the layer will be downloaded with the selected color profile, ready for printing. Â

Wrapping Up
Congratulations on learning how to print from Figma!
While this is the most straightforward approach to exporting a layer in the desired print color profile, the plugin mentioned in the steps is paid and offers 10 trials.
If you run out of plugins or don’t want to rely on plugins, export the layer from Figma and use the conventional photo or PDF editors to change the color profile to make it print-ready.
