Method 1: Using AirPrint to Print Directly from Your iPhone 

AirPrint is an exclusive Wi-Fi printing technology from Apple that is used to print from various Apple products, including iPads and iPhones. All you need is an AirPrint-compatible printer and your iPhone. Both of which need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

If you have this, then follow the next steps to print from your iPhone:  

Step 1: Select the file/image that you want to print from its location. 

Step 2: Tap on the Share button or Action button and select the Share option.

Step 3: Scroll down and tap on Print.

The Print Options screen contains settings for Printer, Presets, Copies, Range, Paper Size, Double-Sided print, Orientation, Scaling, etc. You can see the preview of each page of your document at the bottom of the screen. 

Step 4: Choose your AirPrint-enabled printer.

Step 5: Select the number of copies that you want to print.

How to Print from iPhone Without an AirPrint Printer?

Method 2: Printing from iPhone wirelessly 

You can still print from your printer if you have a stable Wi-Fi connection, using the following steps: 

Step 1: Download the Printer’s app on your iPhone and open it.

Step 2: Make sure that both your printer and iPhone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. 

Step 3: Select the file/photo that you want to print and select the Share option.

Step 4: The devices will be connected, and you will get your print! 

Method 3: Printing from iPhone using a USB cable 

Some of the printers cannot be connected to Wi-Fi, especially if they are a bit older. In such cases, you will need a USB cable to connect the two devices and then print what you want as follows:

Step 1: Plug the USB cable into the printer and your iPhone using the correct ends. 

Step 2: A pop-up prompt will appear on your iPhone. You need to click on OK.

Step 3: Select the file/photo that you want to print on your iPhone and press the Share button.

Step 4: The connected printer name will appear on the Printer Options page.

Step 5: Select Print Option in the upper right-hand corner.

How to View or Cancel Your Print?

If you want to view or cancel your print, you can do it using the App Switcher as follows:

  • If you use an iPhone X or any later models, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and wait till you see the App Switcher. If you have an older model, you can get this by double-clicking on your home button. 
  • Swipe on the screen and then click on Print Centre. 
  • You can view your files. If you want to cancel the printing, click Cancel Printing. Your print job will be canceled.
