Adding a color palette to a design file ensures consistent use of colors and speeds up the design process. In this guide, we will present a demonstration of creating a color palette with the help of a plugin to get you covered.
Create a Color Palette in Figma
- Open Figma on your browser and sign in with your credentials. Next, open the design file you’re working on from Recently viewed.
- Now, navigate to the toolbar, click on Actions, and then Plugins & widgets. In the search bar associated, search for Foundation Color Generator.
- Next, click on the plugin to open it. Now, find the Run button and click on it to load the plugin.
- After the plugin is loaded, select a color profile to get started.
- Now, enter the color code or manually choose a color by clicking on the color picker.
- Doing so, the color palette is generated on the plugin. Now, click on the Palette option to add the color palette to Figma.
- If you want to create styles, click on the Create Styles button to create color styles.
