If you’re new to Figma, it is important to learn how to install plugins, as these can be very helpful when working on a design. With a wide collection of plugins for different purposes, you’re always covered for your different design needs.

Install Plugins in Figma on UI3

  1. Open Figma and sign in with your credentials. Open the design file you’re working on from Recently viewed. If you haven’t started yet, click on the New design file.

  1. After the new or existing design is loaded, navigate to the toolbar and click on Actions.

  1. Now, click on the Plugins and widgets tab and type in the plugin name you want to install in the input field provided.

  1. After you find the desired plugin, click on it. Next, click on Run to install the plugin.

Install Plugins in Figma on the Old UI

  1. Open the design file you’re working on and navigate to the toolbar. Next, click on Resources.

  1. Now, click on the Plugins tab and type in the plugin name you want to install in the input field provided.
  1. Unlike the new UI3, you can install the plugin by clicking on Run next to the product name.
