If you’re trying to work on a design file and you’re provided with access, you request to gain access. In this guide, we will show you how to do it with a simple demonstration to get you covered.
Request Edit Access in Figma
- Open Figma and sign in with your credentials. Now, click on the Notification icon and then the Accept button to access the file.
- Once the file is loaded, click the Ask to Edit button in the toolbar at the bottom.
- If you’re using the older UI, navigate to the toolbar at the top and click the Ask to Edit button.
- Once the request is sent, a notification is sent to the one invited, and upon their approval, edit access is sent.
