Alongside the ability to work with images and videos through the respective editors, Canva also allows flexibility in animate design through Animate. In this guide, we will help you use Animate through a simple demonstration to get you all covered.
Animate on Canva
- Start by navigating on Canva and sign in with your credentials. After logging in, open an existing design from Recent designs or create a new one by selecting a design through the Create a design button.
- With the new/existing design loaded, add an element to the canvas and select it to find the toolbar updated. Now, from the options displayed, click on Animate.
- Doing so, you’re displayed with a panel on the left featuring Page Animations and Text Animations. The default panel displayed depends on the element selected.
- Now, start by checking out the animations associated with the selected element. Ensure to check out each, notice the preview, and adjust its options to identify the animation that best matches your requirements.
- While these animations are reliable if you want to get creative, create a custom animation using Create an Animation (Refer to the image for better understanding).
- With the Create an Animation panel loaded on the left, draw the path and adjust the movement styles and speed. Also, add motion effects if needed (Refer to the image below for better understanding).
- Once done, download it as an MP4 Video or a GIF through Download from the Share button.
Here is the final result for the demonstration presented in the above steps:
Wrapping Up
Congratulations on learning how to animate on Canva!
While Canva does a great job with adding animations, if you find them limited and don’t meet your expectations, use conventional video editors for better results.
